T&D Tree Service is a family-owned tree service based at 2 Elizabeth Ave in Livingston, New Jersey. Since 1984, we have cared for trees on properties across Essex and Morris County — from the mature estates of Short Hills and Mendham to the shade trees on ordinary suburban streets. Four decades in one region means we know New Jersey’s oaks, maples and towering pines, the soils they grow in, and the storms that threaten them.
What Dave’s father started in 1984 is now a two-generation family business, led by an ISA Certified Arborist and running its own cranes, bucket trucks, chippers and stump grinders. Because we own our equipment and answer only to the family whose name is on the truck, homeowners get honest pricing, careful work and complete cleanup on every job.

Dave Lombardi — Owner & Lead Arborist
Dave Lombardi is a second-generation arborist, born and raised right here in Livingston, New Jersey. His father founded T&D Tree Service in 1984, and Dave grew up in the business — learning the trade on job sites across Essex and Morris County long before he took the reins. He took over the company roughly 25 years ago and has run it ever since. His father hasn’t slowed down either: he is still out on projects with the crew nearly every day. An ISA Certified Arborist who personally visits job sites, Dave is known throughout northern New Jersey for two things his customers mention again and again: honest, on-the-spot quotes and meticulous cleanup that leaves a property spotless.
Dave personally estimates most jobs. When you call T&D Tree Service, it’s often Dave himself who walks your property, assesses each tree with an arborist’s eye, explains exactly what your trees need — pruning, removal or preservation — and hands you a clear written quote with no pressure. Municipal permits, tight-access takedowns, crane-assisted removals and delicate estate pruning are all handled by his own trained crew.
